Numerous studies by the UN, the International Monetary Fund, and countless others have shown that when women are fully represented - at work, at home, in politics and in their local communities, it leads to significant GDP growth, reduced poverty, improved education, and better health for the whole family.

Yet in business - the backbone to all economies - most investments go to male-led businesses. And while women-owned businesses were on the rise in 2023 (at nearly 20% in some countries), access to capital for women remained at 12-16% compared to the 66%-70% available to their male counterparts.*  And how about senior leadership posts?  The percentage of female-held executive posts drops dramatically the bigger the company (as low as 11%).
